EPRUMA appoints Rens van Dobbenburgh as new Chairman

(25.02.2016) EPRUMA is happy to announce the appointment of FVE-Vice President Rens van Dobbenburgh as new Chairman. Mr. van Dobbenburgh also chairs the FVE/UEVP Medicines Working Group.

He will lead EPRUMA for a 3-years’ period, succeeding Gwyn Jones (Copa-Cogeca/NFU).

On this appointment, Mr van Dobbenburgh said ‘I am proud to chair this platform of motivated partners, all working together to promote the responsible use of veterinary medicines.

Building on my predecessor’s excellent work, I look forward to leading EPRUMA as a thriving stakeholder network in its mission to create a greater understanding of responsible use, and of its vital contribution to animal health and welfare, as well as public health.’

Mr van Dobbenburgh graduated from Utrecht University and was an accredited poultry veterinary practitioner. He is chief veterinary officer Europe at Henry Schein Inc. Animal Health. He is also a member of the Royal Dutch Veterinary Association, (KNMvD), the Association of Large Animal Practitioners (GGL), the Netherlands’ Association of Companion Animal Medicine (NACAM), the associations of Dutch bovine and swine practitioners, as well as the Belgian Order of Veterinarians.
